Overall Reflection Statement for Ministry Distinctive:

For my competence in the MACE concentration, I am submitting additional artifacts that demonstrate my ability to plan future ministry (the 5 Point Institute plan), evaluate current ministry situations (Media Ministry Evaluation), and articulate my theological beliefs with clarity (Capstone Doctrinal Synthesis).

Learning Reflection Statement:

As I developed and demonstrated the MACE concentration in other areas of my degree and ministry experience, I have learned how to assess the needs of my local congregation, determining how best to serve the people I have been called to and not just replicating what another church is doing or a idea I found in a book. I also learned how to craft a vision on biblical principles and not my own biases, thinking through all steps of the process from ideation to evaluation. I learned how to think deeply about my own ministry roles with media and how technology can be leveraged to serve the church while still fulfilling our original mandate to make disciples. Through six theology courses I challenged myself to know what I believe and why I believe it, not being satisfied with the faith of my influences or strangers, but one that is my own and I can have full trust in.

Lifelong Development Statement:

As a result of the experiences documented by these artifacts, I will continue to develop in MACE skills by prayerfully seeking and considering the ministry in front of me. While the 5 Point Institute was crafted for an assignment, I know there is a formal educational ministry in my future and I have the framework to making it happen. I will also continue to seek truth in order to love the Lord well. This opportunity and love for learning did not end with the completion of my capstone paper, but has only sparked a desire to dive deeper, teach clearer, and love better.
